the answer is 7 because of bedmas first you divide 6 by 3 which is 2 then subtract 9 by 2 which is 7.

9 subtract 6 divided by 3 = -7 Proof: you have to divide 6 by 3 first(because it said in BEDMAS)which equals to 2. then 2 subtract 9 = -7(is that right???)

Anonymous said...

The answer is 7 because you divide 6 by 3 first which equals 2-9=7

Anonymous said...

the answer is actually negative 7 because 6 divided by 3 = 2-9 = negative 7

The Answer is 6.
9 - 6 / 3 ( does not equal) 1 .

Explanation(s) :

First solve it the other way around. Then take the sum, and solve the last following steps to get the answer, which would be 6.

9 - 6 / 3 (doesn't equal) 1.
\ /
9 /2 = (6)

Therefore the answer is 6.

Fix up.

9-6/3 ( doesn't equal) 1 .

First solve it the other way around. Then get the sum, and solve the other steps (Bedmas) to find the answer .

9-6/3(doesn't equal) 1 .
\/
9-2
\/
7.
Therefore 9-6/3 ( doesn't equal) 1, because it equals 7 .

Monica Sousa 7-42 The answer is 7.
When you divide 6*3=2, then 9-2=7

Anonymous said...

The answer is - 7 because division comes before subtraction in BEDMAS so you have to go 6 divided by 3 and the answer to that is 2. The next question is 2 - 9 and the answer to that is negative 7.

do we have to answer here

well if we had to answer here...
my answer will be -7..because 6divided by 3 is equals to two then subtract 2 to 9 and will get -7

9 minus 6 divided 3 does not equal 1 because of the order of operation BEDMAS.

Order of operation
Brackets
Exponents
Division
Multiplication
Addition
Subtraction

The order of operation goes top to bottom. So first you have to divide 6 and 3 which equals 2 then subtract 9 and 2 which equals 7.

Answer: 7
Not: 1

Bruce said...

heres how i got it

9-(6/3)=2
9-2=7 so the answer is not 1 it's 7

Anonymous said...

I think the answer is -7 because if you use bedmas, division comes before subtraction so
9 - 2(6 divided by 3) = -7
-Ralph 7-72

It's 9 plus 6 divide by 3 = 5!

There that's your proof!

I think the answer is 7 because according to the BEDMAS rule the brackets must go first next the exponents then division then multiplication then addition and subtraction. Since the question is 9 subtracted by six divided by 3, we need to divide 6 and 3 = 2
then we need 9 to be subtracted by 2, so the answer is 7.

the answer is -7 because you have to use bedmas to figure out what part of the question you answer first. So six divided by three = two and when you subtract nine you end up with -7.

dear mr. Isfeld,

i think that the answere is seven because 6 /3 = 2 and 9-2= 7.

Hi Mr. Isfeld.
The question is 9–6÷3≠1.
I agree with you because you should solve the question with parenthesis first, but there's no parenthesis in this question so you should solve multiplication and division first. There's a division in this question so you should divide 6 by 3 equals 2. The second thing you should do is solve the addition and subtraction. There's a subtration in this question so you should subtract 9 by 2 equqls 7.

Thanks.

9-(6 divided by 3)=2,not equal to 1
9-2=7, not equal to 1
1 is not equal to 1

Anonymous said...

Because you have to remember that the division comes before subtraction. So you would have to do 6 divided by 3 first, which would equal 2. Then you do the subtraction. Which is 9-2=7.

The answer is -7, because you use "BEDMAS." But instead of multiplication and addition, you use division and subtraction.
First you divide 6 by 3, thats how you'll get 2. Next, you take away 9 from the 2 which will equal "-7."

My answer is 7 because you have to follow the order of operation or also known as BEDMAS. That means 6 divide by 3 is 2 then subtract it from 9 so the difference is 7.

My answer is 7, because I follow the order of operation also known as BEDMAS. I divide 6 by 3 and the quotient is 2, then I subtracted it from 9 and the difference is 7 I hope I got the right answer.

BEDMAS

9 - 6 3 = 1 (WRONG)

9 - 6 3 = 7 (CORRECT)

9 - (6 3) = 7 (HOW TO)
